Øbama poked fun of McCain and Palin’s new “change” mantra.
“You can put lipstick on a pig,” he said as the crowd cheered. “It’s still a pig.”
“You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It’s still gonna stink.”
“We’ve had enough of the same old thing.”
So is John McCain the fish and Sarah Palin the pig? Or is this just another foot-in-mouth moment from our man Ø?
Even assuming the “old fish” and “pig” aren’t intended to be slams at McCain and Palin, what do you think the response from the usual suspects would be if either of them had said Øbama was a “pot calling the kettle black”?

I am sure you are aware of this, but the Lipstick on a pig comment was a direct quote from something McCain said back in, I think, February, when referring to Hilary Clinton.

Link please.
And I wasn’t saying Obama was referring to Palin with the comment, but if McCain or Palin had said something equivalent it would be considered a huge gaffe by the media.
FWIW, I don’t think the Republicans should be making a big deal about this. It makes them sound just as much the PC whiners that the Democrats are.
