Rage Against The Routine

Michigan Primary

January 16th, 2008 · No Comments

Well the Michigan primary was yesterday, and the results are in.

Ron Paul came in fourth with 6% of the vote, which is actually pretty great. Michigan is not exactly a libertarian stronghold, the state is big unions and big automakers that are always both looking for a government handout. Romney won the state by basically traveling around promising people that the government would bring back their jobs with a five year plan right out of the Soviet playbook. And out of the top three vote getters (Romney, McCain, Huckabee) he’s the CONSERVATIVE one!

More and more I think that the choice we’ll be presented with in November is going to be between two pandering statists. I hope Ron Paul runs as a Libertarian and gets a significant amount of the vote.
