Suppose I have detected someone cheating at a contest that I am also a participant in, and I have the inherent ability to also cheat, in an even better and less detectable way if I choose to.
Should I :
- Cheat as well and ensure that I win?
- Cheat as well, but just enough to balance out the other guy’s cheating?
- Refuse to cheat and try to win legitimately without cheating?
- Blow the whistle on him at the last minute?

C. The answer is always c. What is the point in winning if you did not earn it?
Unless the game is serious, such as many people losing money, I would not snitch.

I opted for option E, which was “Get a clarification of the rules from the judge without naming names.”
Either way I’m in good shape, if the ruling is that the extra points don’t count I’m well in the lead, and if the ruling is that they do, it’s a simple matter for me to add a ton of them to my total.
