ABC News’ Lindsey Ellerson Reports: To pressure President Bush not to veto Senate-passed legislation that would extend a federal children’s health insurance plan, Senate Democrats have asked 12-year-old Graeme Frost — who benefited from the program while recovering from a severe car accident — to deliver the weekly radio address.
To me, the Democrats usually sound like a bunch of five year olds, so a twelve year old is probably a vast improvement in maturity.
For the record, I don’t have any problem helping poor people pay for health care. But that’s not what this legislation is for, it’s to extend a program designed for the poor to the middle class, in order to expand government control of health care and undermine private insurance.
