Says Ahmedinehjad :

“In Iran we don’t have homosexuals like in your country,” Ahmadinejad said to howls and boos among the Columbia University audience.

“In Iran we do not have this phenomenon, I don’t know who has told you that we have it,” he said.

Of course they don’t. If they knew of any, they would have done this to them. They have no gays in Iran in exactly the same way they had no Jews in Germany in 1945.

So how come we didn’t see the gay organizations protesting Ahmedinehjad’s visit? I guess preventing the hangings of gay Iranians is less important than protesting the REAL enemy, who, like, won’t let them get married. Seems like a minor thing compared to hanging to me, but hey, I’m not gay so maybe I just don’t understand.

Don’t get me wrong, personally I don’t care if you marry a koala bear. Just seems like a little perspective is what’s called for here.
